8th ANNUAL HIGHLANDS JURIED ART EXHIBIT
Dwight Hiscano, trustee of the New Jersey Highlands Coalition and creator of the Annual Highlands Juried Art Exhibit, in association with Donna Compton of Neo Art Gallery in Boonton, and the New Jersey Highlands Coalition are proud to announce "Our Natural Heritage”, our 8th exhibit featuring the landscapes, flora, fauna and the natural, cultural and historic resources of the Highlands of NY, NJ, PA and CT.
Artists are invited to submit work for an exhibit to be displayed during October, 2021 at 613 Main Street, Boonton. The three top prize winners also will be shown at Studio 7 Fine Art Gallery in Bernardsville.
There will be a reception at the gallery on Friday, October 1, from 6:00-8:30 p.m., 2021 where prizes will be awarded. Thanks to generous donors, there will be a Grand Prize of $500, in addition to Second Place and Third Place awards of $300 and $200 respectively. Other prizes will include gift certificates for framing, printing and local events. Artists will receive 70% of proceeds from the sale of their art, and 30% will go to support the NJ Highlands Coalition mission.
Selections from the exhibit will be featured on this Web site, and on the New Jersey Highlands Coalition website and social media sites, as well as the Neo Art Gallery website. http://www.neoart.gallery Prize-winning images will accompany press releases to be sent to prominent NJ publications.
The following media will be accepted for jurying:
Paintings, drawing, pastels, mixed-media, photography, prints (original fine art lithographs, etchings, monotones etc.), and sculptures featuring the landscapes, flora, fauna, natural, cultural, or historic resources of the Highlands of NY, NJ, PA and CT will Abstract images are also accepted as long as they are inspired by the Highlands.

Initial digital entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., August 16, 2021.
The Annual Highlands Juried Art Exhibit began in 2013 as a feature of the Highlands Festival at Waterloo. Produced and curated by New Jersey Highlands Coalition trustee and renowned landscape photographer, Dwight Hiscano—who continues to provide guidance and support—the event continues to grow in stature, the number of submissions, and the quality of the artwork. The mission of the New Jersey Highlands Coalition, a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Boonton, NJ, is to advocate for the protection of the natural and cultural resources of the NJ Highlands region. We also strive to protect is incomparable natural beauty.
